As per the incident, a police van was transporting four accused men for a court hearing when their van ran out of petrol. But instead of waiting for help, the four accused, who had been arrested for drinking alcohol in a state that had been declared a dry state, took the matter into their own hands and helped the police by pushing the van.
Their quick action helped the traffic flow smoothly and prevented a hazardous incident. However, it is still not clear whether it was their volunteer action or whether the police officer had given them instruction to do so.
