Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray said on Saturday that Shiv Sena MLAs will not take the oath during the special session of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly for the protest of alleged EVM manipulation in recent elections. He doubts the reality of the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance in assembly polls, though it had emerged victorious in 230 of the total 288 seats.

Thackeray was particular words on how the people have not endorsed their elected representatives; he said: “Democracy is being murdered by the use of EVMs.” His comments were made in the context of criticizing the Mahayuti alliance, which has BJP, Eknath Shinde faction of Shiv Sena and NCP faction led by Ajit Pawar.
