The attack was conducted by a Pakistani Terror Group, Jaish-e-Mohammed, on 13 December 2001. Indian Government has also accused Laksher-e-Taiba of this attack. However, they had denied any involvement in this.
On 13 December 2001, five terrorists entered the Parliament building in a car which has fake stickers of the Home Ministry and Parliament Labels. They were armed with AK-47 rifles, pistols, and grenades. At that time, there were over 100 political leaders in the building even though Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha had been adjourned.
However, our soldiers fought bravely and killed all five militants, who have been identified as Hamza, Haider alias Tufail, Ranvijay, Rana, and Mohammed from JeM. They had conducted the attack to eliminate the top political leaders. They were successful in killing 9 of our people, whom we will always be indebted to for saving our temple of democracy from those terrorists by standing against them bravely.
