The police busted this new style of theft when a woman traveling from Hyderabad to Delhi claimed jewelry worth over 7 lakh Indian Rupees had been stolen from her handbag. The police also received another complaint from a US passenger who claimed valuables worth 20 Lakh Indian Rupees had been stolen from his cabin bag.
So the police took action and reviewed the CCTV footage for several hours, finally detecting the man. The police have arrested the man, who has been identified as Rajesh Kapoor, who took 200 flights in 110 days to commit this high-flying robbery.
Rajesh Kapoor, who took 200 flights in 110 days, has been arrested from Paharganj, Delhi. After interrogation, Kapoor revealed how he executed these high-flying robberies last year in the highly secured areas of the country’s airports.
Further, it has been revealed that the main target of the man was the passengers who had booked connecting flights. For example, the woman traveling from Hyderabad to Delhi had to board a connecting Air India flight from the IGI Airport in Delhi to the US. Similarly, the US resident who was also the target was traveling from Amritsar to Frankfurt, Germany, and had to board a connecting flight from Delhi.
