This comes despite the fact that we had our specialists on the ground up to this morning endeavouring to complete the assessment of the previous forest fire. The actual loss, as the official said, can be measured only after a detailed evaluation has been conducted. There appear to be factors that can lead to fire outbreaks, such as dry weather and pile up of chap undergrowth and other inflammable materials such as dry grass. Such occurrences are regularly happening and are now becoming a concern to indigenous wildlife, forest products, and the welfare of people living close to the forests.
While attempts to extinguish the fire are still being made by the forest department, such loss resulting from fire further calls for serious forest management measures and enhanced public awareness to avert similar mishaps. More details about the cause and complete effect of the fire are awaiting. Officials are being encouraged to hasten the process of evaluating the damages and coming up with effective measures to prevent the worsening of the dangers of forest fires in the region.
