It is also indebted to announce that the state government has given permission to the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) for investigation of senior police officials for having accumulated wealth. This trial was instigated following allegations of the officers amassing a lot of wealth within a short span. This, said the government, will prompt the Vigilance Bureau to look at how these officers acquired such assets while in service. The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau will, therefore, direct efforts towards the establishment of any form of misuse of their power or inclusion in corrupt activities.
