One person has died, and over 17 were injured due to the heavy rainfall and strong wind across various areas in Assam due to Cyclone Remal.

Due to the cyclone’s effects, several districts have been put on high alert for heavy to heavy rainfall. The cyclone has also made landfall in neighboring Bangladesh and West Bengal. According to Assam State Disaster Management officials, 11 districts, including Nagaon, Kamrup, Sonitpur, and Morigoan, have been affected by this cyclone.
Various fallen trees have been reported from different areas, and the water level of various rivers has also increased due to the heavy rainfall.
