RCB won yesterday’s match with a stunning batting partnership between Virat Kohli and Will Jacks. After winning the match, Kohli replied to the people targeting him for having a slow strike rate. King Kohli said that talking about strike rates from the box is not the same as playing and winning in the matches.
Kohli is already holding the orange cap and completed 500 runs in yesterday’s match, which is the most of anyone in this IPL season. After yesterday’s match, during an interview, Kohli was asked whether he keeps track of the numbers. He said that he does not, as his only job is to win games for his team.
He further said that all the people who talk about his slow strike rate and not playing well against the spin are the people who love talking about only the numbers, but for me, it’s all about winning the games for the team.
Virat Kohli added that he knows the team has not performed well compared to the expectations of the fans who have backed them, but they are trying to perform well and do better to keep up with their fans’ expectations.
