Manimoy Bandyopadhyay, the director of the state-run SSKM hospital, has shared updates on Mamata Banerjee‘s health. She was admitted to the hospital on 14 March after falling within the vicinity of her home. She suffered a sharp cut on her forehead and nose.

Manimoy further said that Mamata Banerjee had been discharged after receiving treatment for her injury. He further said that Banerjee had been admitted to the hospital with a history of falls due to some push from behind.
The hospital administrator further informed that the Chief Minister of West Bengal had received three striches on her forehead and one on her nose. Banerjee was first assessed by the HoD neurosurgery, HoD medicine, and the institute’s cardiologist because it was essential to stabilize her vitals.
Manimoy further said that the hospital had advised Banerjee to be admitted for observation, but she wanted to return home. However, she will still be kept under excellent doctor observation and assessed again tomorrow for further treatment and to know about the recovery process.
