Bhola Das from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, has filed this petition. The petition for the ban of the Pran Parithstha Ceremony of Ram Mandir has been filed, citing the objections of 4 Shankaracharya.
The petition said the religious ceremony will be held on 22 January 2024 in Ayodhya. The idol of Ram Lalla will be installed in the under-construction temple, and the ceremony will be performed by PM Modi and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath. However, Shankaracharya is opposed to the Pran Pratishtha ceremony as they say no religious program should be held in the month of “Pus.” The temple is still incomplete, and no deity can be consecrated in an incomplete temple.
The petition also cited that this Pran Prithsta Event is against the sentiments of the Sanatan Religion. Further, it has also been cited that the BJP is organizing this event to gain political benefits in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Taking on the objection made by the religious guru, Shankaracharya, Congress leaders are saying that if our religious gurus are having an objection to this event, then there will be something more critical behind not going into the Pran Prathistha Event of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
Meanwhile, Swami Nischalanand Saraswati Maharaj, one of the 4 Shankaracharya, has revealed why they objected to this event, saying that Shankaracharyas hold their dignity and this is not about the ego. This is about whether we expect to stand outside when PM Modi installs the idol of Ram Lalla.
