A very shocking health incident has been reported from Taiwan where 300 kidney stones have been removed from a 20-year-old woman who tends to prefer bubble tea over drinking water.

As per media reports, the 20-year-old Xiao Yu does not like to drink water and prefers to drink bubble tea over water. She has been admitted to the Chi Mei Medical Centre with severe back pain and fever. The Doctor performed some CT scans, Ultrasound, and blood tests and found out that her kidney was swollen with 300 kidney stones ranging from 5 mm to 2 cm.
The medical team has said that kidney stones can happen due to various reasons, including chronic illnesses, genetic predisposition, and diets rich in protein and calcium. They are more common in spring and summer when the hot weather leads to dehydration. Urine becomes more concentrated, resulting in minerals amalgamating and crystallizing into kidney stones.
Dr. Lim, who has undergone the surgery of the 20-year-old to remove hundreds of kidney stones, has said that there are 9.6% of people in Taiwan have suffered from Kidney stone problems in their lifetime. And men are reportedly thrice chances of the problems of kidney stones than women.
